Madhuri Nemali r
eceived her B.A. in Communication from University of California, Davis, and her J.D. from Santa Clara University, School of Law. While at SCU, Madhuri interned at the Katharine and George Alexander Community Law Center's immigration clinic and learned firsthand how her skills and passion could have a significant impact on her clientele. After graduation, Madhuri was a volunteer attorney at the International Institute of the Bay Area, and went on to become a graduate fellow at KGACLC, where she ran the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program for the immigration clinic. Madhuri then went on to be a staff attorney at Apoyo Legal Migrante Asociado, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing immigration-based legal services.

Madhuri is practically a California native, having lived here since 1994. Prior to that, her family lived in Colorado for a few years, before fleeing the chilly climes for the sunny promise of California, with a brief detour in Arizona along the way. As a result of growing up with parents who emigrated from India, Madhuri is conversational in Hindi and Telugu, and rounds out her language skills with Spanish.
